Visual Arts Department

The QND Art Department provides opportunities for students to create a wide variety of work utilizing various materials and resources. Contemporary and historical artists and styles are introduced throughout each course, and students learn to compare, analyze, evaluate, and discuss their work and the work of others.  Specific skills and techniques are taught allowing students to apply learned skills, along with opportunities for individual exploration of media, creative problem solving and personal expression.

QND also offers Graphic Design I & II which provides students the basics of good design and composition, typography illustration and photo-editing. Our Mac Lab is equipped with industry standard design software, which prepares students for possible career opportunities in the field of graphic design.
